Sounds like I should bring my Perception Pirouette.

Mark, fun photos. Never saw those before. “Garden Party” I like that
terminology. It will be similar but better. More dramatic with cliffs and pools and
more variety. I haven’t seen your Delfin so I’m not sure what it’s all
about but if it’s a surf boat they tend to be notoriously unstable and twitchy
unless moving at a certain speed on a wave. It sounds a little bit bigger than
most surf boats so maybe it’s more stable? What do you think? How stable is
it just sitting there? I have a couple surf boats that are great fun but
ridiculously unstable just floating. Dedicated surf boats are entirely dependent
on speed for stability. So I would say if it’s stable stationary then you may
prefer that over your long glass boat. The open deck may be an advantage
also should an OOBE (out of boat experience) occur. It would then just be an off
boat experience and easily remedied. I expect OOBE’s to occur by the way and
maybe me. If you are at all interested in coming, still come with either, you
’ll just have to adjust accordingly. I’m sure you’ll be entertained. As for
the launches and landings we can probably help the glass boat people with
people holding the boat floating for launches and catching the boat for
landings. Swell will determine the practicality of that of course. I don’t want to
sugar coat anything though, glass boats will more than likely get scratched
and the owner will have to access how that will affect their participation and
pleasure.

In ought six, I took my big ol' giant glass boat out with Steve B. and Jack
and Company for a garden party. I don't think we were in the exact same area
though, but close. If you want to see pics they're at the CKF gallery. You
can see I got pretty close to the action despite my handicap and only minor
scratches from landing in a rocky area.
Jack, will the paddle on the 20th be similar? What do you think of my
bringing my Delfin surf boat--any opinion?
Mark

Oh uh…keep in mind the launch when you think of bringing your glass boat.
Not saying don’t bring it…..just know it will get …some texture. Any
questions about this paddle or about suitability for this paddle feel free to email
me or Steve. _macgrzly at pacbell.net_ (mailto:macgrzly at pacbell.net) .
I’m really looking forward to this. Thanks Steve for getting it going. Jack
