I wished you all could have been there.  Calm and cloudy was the day but not without excitement of finding keyhole-limpets attached to the cement wall near our put-in, several good size spider crabs bigger than my hand and fingers hanging around the rocks on the other side of the wall, a swarm of snowy plovers on the outside of the breakwater later to see them up close on the rocks, purple-red-yellow-orange-grey-sea stars all over the rocks, "boils" of fish scattering in all directions as we approached in our boats, and the one we missed-an otter!  Peter was the lucky one to spot him out a way from the entrance of the harbor!  Ok, I'm going back and do you think it'll still be there?

You never know what it's going to be like until you venture out into those waters!

Thanks Bev for instigating this day on the water!  Thanks Peter for having a bird book so we could id the plovers!
