And what, prey tell, would be the motivation?

When H.B. lifeguards look at a semi-circular bite mark on a surfboard, then tell national media it was a hoax; when San Diego lifeguards "bury" a credible report about a white shark in the waves until a swimmer is killed; when Topanga lifeguards tell a reporter that juvi white sharks video taped from the air are nurse sharks... yeah, I'm clearly the whack job. You guys can belittle or minimize me all you want, I'll keep telling it like it is.

Oh please
Is there a conspiracy afoot to get us to blithely hop in our cars despite the known dangers of bad roads, inept drivers, excessive speed, poor maintenance, etc.?
Call me a cynic but I believe most conspiracies either give the perps too much credit for intelligence, competence and power or propose some imagined gain by one party where there is none.
We dont (thankfully) live in a theme park devoid of all risk.

Subject: [CKF Info] DON'T TRUST THE LIFEGUARDS
Hi all:
Some of you may have already heard about the fatal shark attack this morning (April 25) at a San Diego beach, where a triathlete was attacked and killed by a white shark. In the initial report, the Dept. of Fish & Game said it was "the first fatal shark attack in San Diego since 1959." Folks, there was a fatal attack by a white shark off Sunset Cliffs in San Diego in 1994.
Then a report came out where lifeguards at today's attack location said that three days ago, a female surfer reported a 10-foot white shark just beyond the break line, and that the lifeguards deemed it a credible report at the time. But here's the problem:
1) No beaches were closed after the report that they now claim was credible, and
2) Why has no one heard about the credible report until three days later, after a swimmer was killed?
This is all days after Huntington Beach lifeguards called a surfer's report of a white shark attacking his board "a hoax," even with solid evidence on his board of the attack.
Still don't think there's a conspiracy?
Sincerely,
Kevin Harris
