[CKF Info] The Price of Fun

Mark, you ignorant slut!

I already "gave" you a perfectly good paddle, offered you my custom
"kayak-holder-upper", shared with you the story of how the raccoon's ate
all my pasta salad at TAKS last year and now you want me to drop the
price of a perfectly good camera that you don't care for??? Well I'll be
hung!!!

Your absolutely correct about the Ford/Chevy thing and I do prefer
Chevy's by the way.( Had a '75 Z-28 that we topped out a 147!) That's
why I drive a '82 Mercedes with 92 horsepower and 4500 lbs. of torque
that runs on veggie oil. $2.79 a gallon!!! WEEEEEE!!!

I have no idea what to tell you about the picture quality of the two
cameras. I don't know why they don't leave well enough alone but I think
it has to do with the Taliban having a hard time importing kayaks to
their region! Can you imagine not being able to get the kayak of your
choice? No wonder they are a bunch of angry goat lovers!

In the end Mark I still love you madly and can't wait to paddle you, er,
ah I mean paddle WITH you again!

I loved the picture quality of my W10. I'm very disappointed with the
picture quality of the W30. What's the story there? I figure I got a bad
unit as I can't see how picture quality should degrade with a new model.

As Tony said, the video quality of the Olypus is poor, only going to
15fps while the Pentax goes to 30fps. And Rafael is right that you want
things to work smoothly when your trying to turn on a camera mounted
behind your head with surf coming your way!

My other beefs with the Olympus when I was looking into it was it was
said to have a longer lag time on the shutter and I would also have to
buy their proprietary memory cards. Me being at best frugal, that stuck
in my craw with all the SD cards I have at home.

In the end Billy, I think it's a Ford/Chevy thing. I drive a Ford and
shoot a Pentax, you shoot an Olympus and drive a car that runs on French
fry oil !!! Heck, you need to upgrade to a Chevy!!!

For now, I'll hope for the good graces of the Pentax Repair Man. If he
screws me, I'll be on several forums shouting my beefs!!
And maybe when your boxed Olympus comes down to $100. I'll give it a
thought!!!

I don't know why you people keep buying those Pentax cameras. I
have had my Olympus 770SW for a very long time, shot hundred of images
and not one problem. I liked it so much I went ahead and upgraded to the
10mp one. I now have a great Olympus 770SW with box and all for sale for
$150.00. Call me, you won't be sorry you did.

The only good pentax ever built was the film based K1000. I
tried to upgrade to the MX but they kept blowing up with the motor
drives and that was their pro level camera.

Try an Olympus, you'll never go Pentax again.

If you look Pentax up in the dictionary you will see this
definition: JUNK! HA!!!
