Yes, I have float bags. Overdressing might have saved Sid's  life.  Some 
people accuse me of being over-equipped, with knives, flares,  GPS, etc., but they 
can be useful.

Wow,  you guys were blessed to make it out of there alive!
Do you use float bags  in your kayak now after this experience? It sounds
like this could have  made things a lot easier for Sid and all  involved.
