MessageHey, just missed you guys. I launched at about 12:30p after a meeting in the area and paddled the canals for a warm up and then tried a few rolls and solo rescues.

Rolled three consecutive times (with the aid of a paddle float and zero times without). I'll keep working on it.

Bob McMurray, Meri Rathbun, and I paddled today at Alamitos Bay. It was a very quiet day in the Bay: I only saw a few powerboats and just a couple of kayaks.

It was Meri's second outing in her new boat which Bob built for her. She looked perfectly at home in it and it was great to see the smile on her face as she paddled. With Bob's help she worked on side sculling, static bracing, and rolling back up and she did great. Bob was up to his usual tricks doing all kinds of rolls - some of which have names and some which I think he made up! He's going to be hand rolling soon if he keeps this up.

Afterward we had lunch at The Small Cafe in Naples.

  Best,
  Lee
