As a footnote to Marks Pig Town trip report.
 
This morning I called the Newport Beach Harbor Patrol to inquire about the  
Zodiac I found on last nights Hot Dog paddle.  The Zodiac with outboard was  
floating unanchored offshore. I called the Coast Guard and they said they would  
call the Harbor Patrol.  According to Sally at the Harbor Patrol, there was  
no log of any incidents like I described.  There was no sight of the boat  on 
the return paddle so who knows what happened.
