Steve,
The group that paddled with me on Sunday at Carpinteria had 6 of 14 paddlers
using sticks exclusively. I'm not even counting those who had them on their
decks as spares.
People who use both are not true stick people - it's sort of like not fast
or slow, but half fast.

Sunday's Edith crossing was the first time I've logged 20 miles with a
Greenland paddle. It didn't seem to slow me down. My shoulders and the rest
of my body felt great during and after the paddle.
I used my Beale paddle and returned my cracked Strosaker paddle to Duane for
repair. Duane is going to Wilsonize the paddle with a carbon fiber tip. Mark
and I joked about becoming official paddle testers for the paddle industry.
Mark said I'd have to break more than two paddles to qualify. I know when
I'm out matched.
Of the five paddlers today three of us paddled Greenland both ways. Ken
paddled out European and returned with his traditional carbon fiber Greeland
paddle. Mark's back up was his home made stick.
Feel the wood,
Stevie Sticks
