Into the Surf–n-Sea with Jeff Laxier

June 9-11, 2008





Enhance your kayak skills in the surf and out at sea.  Join Jeff Laxier as
he works with each person on his/her skills.  He will be in the surf zone
for beginner to advanced surf kayaking skills and in the sea with sea kayaks
learning surf and open water techniques.



Classes are listed below.  Private lessons will be available by appointment.

Monday June 9:  6pm-sunset "*Surf Zone Techniques*" This lesson will focus
on the  basic techniques of surf kayaking including etiquette, maneuvering,
rolling and bracing in the surf, and other personal improvements in surf
and/or whitewater kayaks.  $50/person



Tuesday June 10:  6-8am "*High Performance Surf Kayaking*" Take your surf
kayaking skills to a new level - learn to be more dynamic or get some kinks
worked-out.  This lesson is for enthusiasts that have self rescue skills,
know the rules of the road and are willing to push their skills to a new
level.  $40/person



Tuesday June 10:  6pm-sunset "*Into the Sea*" Join Jeff on one of his
favorite adventure lessons.  In sea kayaks, we will learn and perfect
launching and landing, group rescue techniques, and boat handling skills on
the sea.  $50/person



Wednesday June 11: 6:30am-8:30am "*Open Surf" *Bring your kayak of choice
and learn to handle the surf better.  Sea, River, Surf, and Sit on top boats
are welcome.  $40/person



Venues for each event will be picked 24 hours prior to each lesson and can
change as the ocean does.
