[CKF Info] Best Memorial Day Ever

Hi everybody,

This has turned out to be the best Memorial Day ever. As you know, I had a
lot of fun paddling with my wife and some good friends yesterday. What I
didn't mention was that our youngest son had called on Saturday and said
that his team was now in Basra and that all of their gear was palletized and
they were waiting for transportation out of Iraq.

Today, I received an email from him that they are out and in Kuwait waiting
for transportation back to the US. I was so ecstatic, that I spent the rest
of the day today, cleaning, waxing, and performing some maintenance on our
fleet.

Mike Davis came by to show me his new gas sipping scooter and I realized his
arms are several inches longer than mine. Well Robin's boat has had a
problem with the rear carry handle for the last 2 years that I hadn't fixed
because I could never reach that last nut. My arms were about 2 inches too
short. Well with Mike and I working together, we managed to fix it.

Now Robin's 8 year old boat looks brand new again, and my two year old
Shadow and 4 year old Capella, look pretty good but scratched. What can I
say, I use my boats a lot and Dumpy likes to jump out and try to grab me.

Anyway, what a wonderful Memorial Day this has been. I hope everybody joins
me in thinking about those men and women who have given their lives in
service to this country - the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Steve
