That's why we did it the way we did it. We weren't relishing paddling
into that famous wind on the homeward leg. By the way, in the course
of preparing for this trip, we learned that that little dock next the
restaurant at Shoreline Village can not be used to launch and land,
only to tie up (like we did for Mike Brown's birthday paddle a couple
of years ago). The only other legal options, as far as I could find
out, are the beach (a looooong carry to the water) and the Southshore
launch ramp.<br>
