I would like to extend a heart felt thank you to our Host's Carol and George Miller. We had a great time and those 20 ingredient hamburgers of George's where to die for.

We got there around 5:30 and unloaded our boats and proceeded to start the feast with Paula's ceveiche and shrimp cocktails for hors devourers. George was tending the burgers and chicken on the grill while carol was running around making sure that everyone had plenty to eat. After gorging ourselves with food and stories, we then had desert!

We had some time to digest a little before the dock launchings to paddle over to view the fireworks display. I have to say that we had plenty of help with both the launching and landings. I really appreciated the hand everyone was lending especially helping Debbie. This was her first dock launching and she was very apprehensive. Everything went smoothly.

We proceeded to paddle out in to the main channel over by one of the Yacht Clubs to view the display. George made the comment that he had not seen so many water craft out at the same time since the Christmas Boat parade. We rafted up along side a dock and viewed the 30 minute display of pyrotechnics. We had a front row seat for the display.

After the display we paddled back to George and Carol's to land our boats. George demonstrated his PFD snatch method of helping one out of their boats. Before you could start to extend your legs to lift out of the boat, George grabbed a hold of your PFD and whoosh you were on the dock.

We cleaned up and loaded our boats and bid fair well to everyone as we prepared for our 2 hour journey home. Debbie had to work on Saturday so we did not stay over locally. We had a great time with good food and even better friends.
