<BR> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Just wanted to say thanks for all who showed up for Jack's Garden Party a week ago or so. I had a complete blast shooting these guys as they churned up some good water! This was my first foray into rock gardening and though I only captured it on media cards it was great to live the experience through them. Talk about talented paddlers! </FONT></P>
<P> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">I have to admit that it was a tough act to keep up with these guys with my kayak loaded with gear and sportin' the "oil cans". (My custom built pontoon contraption.) I suddenly realized that I would be pushing a lot more water than normal due to this fine item and by days end I was worn out! It was tough trying to predict which way the paddles were going to go. I had to back up and go forward, slide sideways...all the while trying to keep my on the action and incoming waves. (Thanks for the wave warning Mark!) What a blast! As for the hill…</FONT></P>
<P> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">I visited the site the weekend before so I knew what I was getting into. Walking down and up the hill with no gear seemed quite easy but with a 60lb. kayak loaded with gear trying to get down was questionable at best. After the paddle we had to go back up and with the help of a few good men and some camels we made it! Next time I'm bringing my own "tow rope system" like they use at ski resorts! Krikey!</FONT></P>
<P> <FONT SIZE=2 FACE="Arial">Again, I wish to thank Jack for hosting and serving the "tea", Lee for his magic trick, George for his patience, Mark for his humor and Steve for finding good parking spots amongst the rocks!</FONT></P>
